The Life Sciences Library accepts lists of books and articles you would like to place on class reserve. You may drop your list off personally or send an email with your requests to lifeslib.1@nd.edu. Please be sure to include the name and course number of the class and the preferred loan period. Our staff will then process your requests and make the list available for viewing in the Notre Dame Libraries Reserve Catalog. Most items will be ready for your students within two days.
Since our staff is small and our space is limited we are unable to accept
material for classes numbered 100 and 200. Students of the large classes
are better served by using the Reserve Book Room in Hesburgh Library.
We will be glad to assist you in placing items on reserve in that location.
You may also submit requests to them directly using the electronic service
form for books
or photocopies.
You may also want to consider using the Library’s “Electronic
Reserves” service for your reserve materials. With this
service your students can have web access to your reserve material anytime, anywhere. The Life Sciences Library staff will set up the
Course Readings Page, scan articles and handouts, and upload them to the
web. Faculty who are interested in this service should contact Karen Malling in Life Sciences at 631-5758.
The Reserve Book Room at Hesburgh Library also offers this service. Visit their web site to learn more.
